One Stop Voting In Pitt County Expands

People in Pitt County will have an extra day to vote when one stop voting starts October 16.

The state Board of Elections has approved Sunday voting for the Community Schools Building site. Voting will be allowed there Sunday, October 26th from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The Pitt County Board of Elections says this site was selected due to the high voter turnout there in previous elections.

One stop voting starts October 16th and continues through November 1st.

The other locations for one stop voting in Pitt County are Pitt County Agricultural Center Auditorium, County Office Building, Jaycee Park Recreation and Parks Auditorium, Winterville Fire Station Community Room and Newman Catholic Student Center Sanctuary.

If your polling place typically has long lines, think about voting via Absentee ballot. The deadline for requesting a ballot is usually around the first of Oct. so if you're interested, check into it soon.
