John McCain and running mate Sarah Palin have decided to tour flood-ravaged parts of Iowa after all.
The move came after local leaders said they were upset McCain
and Palin planned to hold an airport rally five miles outside the
hard-hit city of Cedar Rapids and not travel into town.
Cedar Rapids has been slammed with an estimated 1.3 billion
dollars of damage in June floods. Many in the city say help from
the federal government has been too slow in coming and McCain and
Palin say they agree with that assessment. McCain and Palin visited
the downtown area.
