Lawyer: Todd Palin Won't Testify In 'Troopergate'

Todd Palin is refusing to testify in an abuse-of-power investigation into his wife, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Palin had been subpoenaed to appear Friday before Alaska
lawmakers to testify as to whether Public Safety Commissioner Walt
Monegan was fired because he refused to dismiss a state trooper who
had gone through a bitter divorce with Sarah Palin's sister.

McCain-Palin spokesman Ed O'Callaghan said Thursday that Todd
Palin no longer believes the Legislature's investigation is
legitimate.

A key lawmaker says the stonewalling of witnesses is likely to
stall the probe until after Election Day.

Sarah Palin at first welcomed the investigation but opposes it
now as the Republican candidate for vice president.

Its not a mater of facts in the head, its facts available to you as well. I have stated I am not the sheep of the liberals in the party and that is a fact. I have stated I am a democrat and vote democrat when I think the canidate can run the country. I don't vote for liberals. Sorry, their agenda is too corrupt. Obama, case in point. If you ignore his dealings and past relationships you are not doing your country a favor. I have also stated I would vote for Hillary. I also voted for Reagan. Just because the party picked Obama and Obama picked Biden doesn't mean I play sheep. They had two opportunities to get my vote as someone in the party had to be cleaner than Obama. Sorry again, he is not electable due to his past track record. What is sad is that some will follow this guy no mater what his past or dealings are. That is why I call them sheep. Again, I am being accused of lies, state one. Just like Bush, you like to accuse him of this but don't have a fact to prove it.

Dianne, you are wasting your time. My feeling is Obama Snake Oil will never face the music. He/She will never get the facts except for the ones in his head he believes are true. Sad isn't it?

Obama Snake Oil, why don't you Republicans face the music and realize that Democrats have only been in majority for the last 18 months, while Bush & Co have been in charge for the last 7 1/2 years! I was wondering when you were going to find this story to spread some more of your lies. You're the one who needs to find the facts!

If there is nothing to hide, why not go ahead and testify? That tells me there must be something to it.

You know, I don't know the facts about this case and really don't care. All I care about is keeping the Palins out of office. They (and yes I say they because they say in Alaska he's helping her make the big one's) scare the heck out of me. I don't want mad hocky mom and the first dude running this country. Help us.

Posted by: scott Location: winterville, Scott, it sound as if you is unaware or unwilling to understand what the troopergate is? I guess you never been fired from a job because of family issues, this guy have a family to fed,Just be glad you wasn't the target.

These are two separate issues. The trooper was never fired and is, to this day, still an Alaske state trooper, despite the fact that he tasered his 10 yr. old step-son and threatened to kill members of his family. The Public Safety Commissioner serves at the discretion of the Governor. She offered to reassign him after finding out that he was undermining her budget proposals. He refused to be reassigned and instead resigned. Nothing to see here - move along. Just typical Democrat slight of hand. They see a threat and try to redirect your attention and clear the playing field. For those of you who ask how Todd Palin can ignore a subpoena, I'm not familiar with Alaska, but most states have a "Spousal Priviledge" law that prevents one spouse from testifying against another except in criminal cases of child abuse and such.

I know this sounds redundant so it will be brief. I love how all this is blamed on republicans when the democrats run both houses. Since some of you do not have these facts, or are not aware of this, "learn how your government works". You should use the internet to learn how Pelosi and Reid run both houses and let the mortgage crisis happen while their supports made all the big money advising them. It fun, its creative and you can follow you DOPE teaching and blame it all on Bush. So easy a democrat can do it. Just take the mindless track. Sorry, if you are a governor, you can fire anybody. Nothing to see here, move along, nothing to see here.

Dianne; Partisan witch hunts is something created and mastered by the Democrats. It is why they exist.
