U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole visited the east Tuesday to talk about improving the country's use of energy.
Dole was at the Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville. She spoke with members of the Pitt County Chamber of Commerce about the economy and how to keep it growing. Dole congratulated the chamber for making Pitt County a great place to live and work. But it was was the economy that really took a stronghold for her. She wants the us to get away from being dependent on foreign oil sources and start offshore drilling.
Dole also praised ECU and the School of Medicine for its Heart Center and the inception of the new Dental School.
