Voter Registration Scam

The Better Business Bureau says registered voters are getting emails and phone calls from people claiming to be from a local civic group or election board. They say they need to confirm your eligibility or voter registration. To do that, they want your social security number, sometimes your credit card information. The scammers can use this information to steal your identity. The Federal Trade Commission says you will never be asked for financial information to register to vote.
