Huckabee, Dole To Speak At NCGOP Convention

Former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is in North Carolina for the state party convention.

The former Arkansas governor who has been angling for a spot on John McCain's White House ticket will speak Saturday at the state party convention in Greensboro.

Republican Sen. Elizabeth Dole and Huckabee will greet voters in the morning. Dole will also give a speech at the event.

Huckabee's folksy style helped drive a longshot presidential bid. He won the Iowa caucuses and several other state primaries before dropping his bid in May.

I really hope John McCain chooses Huckabee because that is probably the only way I will vote for McCain. I believe he would be an asset to the campaign! Christians(incorrectly labeled as right-wing fanatics by some) need a voice and I think they would have that with Huckabee but not McCain!

McCain or Dole will never get my vote.
