Illinois Senator Barrack Obama is the projected presumptive Democratic nominee for President.
Obama clinches the nomination following primaries in South Dakota and Montana where he will pick up enough delegates to secure the nomination.

Aides to Hillary Rodham Clinton say she isn't formally dropping out of the campaign race yet. Clinton told colleagues she would consider joining Barack Obama as his running mate, and advisers say she wants to use her remaining leverage to press for a spot on the ticket.
