Anon- thank you. I'm so sick of all the emails. I just want to go off when somebody says to me "I can't beleive you voted for a Muslim" or all the stuff about the pledge, ect. You are so right, check the facts. Brad has a sad life if he believes everything in email forwards.

Brad- I would suggest that you check out how accurate the information is in those emails that your grandma keeps sending you. Obama himself has given the reason why he didn't put his hand over his heart during THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER (not the pledge). He was however facing the flag. He also took his oath using a Bible. A good 'ole Christian OT/NT Bible. Check your facts from now on so that others don't have to do your legwork for you.

Fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee (Genesis 26:24). My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path (Proverbs 2:19).

To claify my last comment...Only two Senators were elected President, and they both died in office. We have 3 still running. Doesn't sound good.

I'm confused how does everyone know how this preacher acted twenty years ago? According to a news report I read Obama stated that the man spewing the nastiness was not the same man he remembered many years ago. People do change and their thoughts and feelings do change. Also we all have in our life known someone who was less then sinless that does not mean that we should be judged by the same standard as being bad just because of someone we know. Yes he should have disowned him quicker then what he did once he heard his mouth but he was probably in shock at how the man had changed. So no brad I wasn't referring to the preacher incident as untrue. I was referring to the oath taken on the Koran was was untrue also the turning away from the flag refusing to say the pledge of allegiance was incorrect rumor as well as the incident occurred not while saying the pledge of allegiance but not putting his hand over his heard during the national anthem in which he did sing though.

Brad, you know, my grandmother had the same thoughts of possible assassination in the case that Obama becomes President. She said she couldn't live with it on her conscious. Her daughter in New York had already voted for Senator Clinton and was encouraging her to do the same. Her daughter in Texas was encouraging her to vote for Obama. With hopes of change, my grandmother secured her vote on May 6th. I shared the following with my family, and I wish to share it with you all. None of us is naive. We know racial relations haven't improved to the point where some self-conscious person will not have thoughts of assassinating a black President; however, Senator Obama knew what he was getting into when he started the campaign. He's agreed to accept the challenge, so none of our consciouses should be affected by anything that happens to any President once he/she is elected unless we were the ones involved in the act. Security is supposed to be sufficient. Reject politics of fear.

The Rev. is an idiot and so were the people behind him jumping higher every time he said the G.D. word. No God fearing people use that word or listen to the garbage coming out of his mouth! As far as Obama is concerned he sat in that building for 20 years and never heard this idiot say his racial slurs? I'm missing something here........
