Perdue, Obama Lead In Latest N.C. Poll

The latest poll from Public Policy Polling shows Beverly Perdue with a big lead in the race for governor while Barack Obama holds onto a substantial lead in the presidential race in North Carolina.

The Public Policy Polling numbers show that Perdue is the choice of 41 percent of likely Democratic voters. Richard Moore is the choice of 31 percent. The findings are the results of a survey of 538 likely Democratic voters on April 12-13. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.2 percentage points.

For the Democratic nomination for President Barack Obama leads Hillary Clinton in North Carolina 54 percent to 34 percent.
