Bidding Closed For Consultant Job To Find Greenville City Manager

Tuesday was the deadline for proposals by consulting firms hoping to take part in becoming the City of Greenville consulting firm for finding a new city manager.

A special meeting will be held Thursday at 6pm to discuss the consulting proposals and narrow them down. The city is looking for a new manager after Wayne Bowers announced his retirement. A week before that Police Chief William Anderson said he would be leaving.

You have to love it. Only in government would you hire a firm to hire one person. That's your taxes at work.

Maybe residents can lure those working for the consulting firm to move to Greenville & vote for them.

If the city council does not have enough common sense to advertise and hire someone they need to resign. Stop wasting money. Politicians have got to be blind or just plane ignorant. They would not waste their own money like this.
