Santorum Accuses Pro-Romney PAC Of Lying In SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Republican Rick Santorum is calling on GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney to call off a political action committee he says is blatantly lying about the former Pennsylvania senator's record on felon voting rights and spending.

Campaigning for Saturday's South Carolina primary, Santorum said at a news conference Monday that the attacks by the pro-Romney group Restore Our Future are a "smear campaign."

The group is airing ads in the state accusing Santorum of backing voting rights for felons. Santorum supports allowing felons who have completed their sentences to apply to have their voting rights restored, the law in most states.

The ads and automated telephone calls also accuse Santorum of supporting earmark spending in Congress. Santorum noted that among the earmarks he sought were for medical research and weapons system projects.

Congratulations President Obama you will get another 4 years as our Pres. Hes gotta be kidding---asking Romney to stop lying is like asking a fish to leave the water.

And yet Rick when push comes to shove you will as did Huntsman kiss Romneys ring and various body parts when you eventually drop out. It won't matter that he lied about you or attacked your family. You will endorse him wholeheartedly and fall in line with the Zombie chorus. You and the others will even endorse his running mate Joseph Smith.

You mean like Hillary did with Obama in 2008?

What is his point? He did those things, he admits it. What about his wanting to attack Iran? Good point made on the super pace pay backs against the republicans.

Ummm.... didn't hear him complain when he was lying about President Obama, but that's the GOP way...spread enough rhetoric and somebody will start to believe it. Fox News 101, the most mis-informed viewers of current events than any other network.

This is hysterically funny. The Supreme Court voted with Citizens United to allow super PACs, right? The conservative court , presumably figured this would help Republicans over Democrats, since they have more money and corporate money goes more toward Republicans. But instead, the primaries come before the general election and the Republicans are getting burned by their own branding iron!!! Poor dears...... Karma does work !!!

What is so funny about this is that the Repugs are constantly defending the Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court, that allowed untlimited amounts of money to be spent by these superpacs, and now they are using them against each other. Remember when Obama warned about this during the State of the Union address and the Justice setting up front was shaking his head NO? If you want to see something funny, look at Stephen Colbert's ad. He started his own superpac just to show how ridiculous this all has become.

I wonder why you Republicans have to make up stuff like that, out of thin air, to try to smear Obama. What does " anything about himself" mean? Obama has released everything he is required to, and as much as any previous president. If you can cite something specific, please do.

Well, off the top of my head I know for a fact Obama has never released his college transcripts which every President in the last few decades has. I also know that Obama has never really answered the Bill Ayers question. Those are just the off the top of my head. I'm sure a little digging would show more cover-ups by the least transparent administration ever in this country. Oh yeah, he's never released visitor logs, which he swore to do, and he's never released all the Fast and Furious or Solyndra emails. There are probably tons out there hiding.

Santorum you really need to spend some time on earth. If Republican Super PAC's didn't lie what would be the point of forming them. After all there are only so many ways to say, the line forms for the 1% in front of the government bailout window and for the 99% in front of the soup kitchen.
