Sandusky's Wife Says He Would Not Harm Children

The wife of ex-Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky says her husband is innocent of the child sex abuse allegations against him and that his accusers are making up their stories.

Dottie Sandusky's comments Thursday were the first she has made since her husband was arrested last month and accused of molesting boys. She released by a statement through her husband's lawyer a day after a grand jury report said one alleged victim screamed in vain for her to help him while Sandusky attacked him in a basement bedroom.

Dottie Sandusky says no such incident occurred.

She adds that she and her husband love children and have always tried to help and care for them, and would never do anything to hurt them.

Sandusky faces more than 50 charges stemming from what authorities say were assaults on 10 boys in his home, on Penn State property and elsewhere. He has maintained his innocence.

Ex-Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky has posted $250,000 bail after spending a night in jail following new child sex abuse charges filed against him.

Under the terms of his release, Sandusky will be confined to his home, subject to electronic monitoring and forbidden from having any contact with any witnesses or victims in the attorney general investigation.

Hmmm, so Sandusky married Cleopatra, Queen of Denial. I guess it would be difficult to admit that you were totally fooled by a man you thought you loved. I'd like to think that I could be brave enough to pull a Tammy Wynette and stand by my man, but in actuality, I would probably file for divorce and try to get what money I could before he spent it all on legal fees.
