"Game of Thrones" reigned supreme at Thursday morning's Emmy nominations.
The fantasy epic topped all TV series with 19 nominations, including Best Drama.
Its competition for that honor includes last year's winner, "Breaking Bad" and three time winner "Mad Men". Also in the running are "Downton Abbey", the HBO cop series "True Detective" and the Netflix political saga "House of Cards".
Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey is among the best actor nominees for his work in "True Detective", along with his co-star Woody Harrelson. Also in the hunt are Jeff Daniels for "The Newsroom" and Kevin Spacey for "House of Cards". Three-time winner Bryan Cranston has a shot at his fourth for "Breaking Bad", while seven time nominee Jon Hamm seeks his first win for "Mad Men".
