Obama To Propose Relief For Student Borrowers

President Barack Obama is detailing a college loan plan that could help him shore up support among cash-strapped students and graduates.

The plan he was to announce Wednesday in Denver would allow millions of student loan recipients to lower their payments and consolidate their loans.

Young voters were an important bloc in Obama's 2008 campaign, and Occupy Wall Street protesters have expressed concern about burdensome student loan debt.

Outside of mortgages, student loans are the No. 1 source of household debt.

When we provide money for a grant, it is a grant. If we provide money as a loan, it should be paid back to we, the people of America. It can not make it made more simple than that. PAY IT BACK TO US.

If you borrow money,I expect you to pay it back with interest, and in your case quickly, with a smile on your face.

I do not think the tax payers should bail out the college students. They need to learn to live with in their means. Tax payers do not need to bail anyone else out. It is time to balance the budget

Funny, it's always after the banks and corporations have made their profits back from socialized losses that everyone shuts off government assistance. The tax payers continue to bail out banks and corporations, whose profits are now record-breaking.

Bank of America has suspended the origination of federal student loans. We are no longer accepting applications for Stafford, PLUS, or Graduate PLUS loans. If you have questions about obtaining a new student loan, please contact your school's financial aid office. For questions about pending student loan applications, please call......

Barlow, you still don't get what finaid.org is? Geez; Barlow, incase you are really that uninformed this link will send you to the federally funded student loan programs. http://www.finaid.org/loans/ As usual, you haven't got a clue what you are posting. Also note the time frames and interrest charged by the feds due to non repayment of the outstanding loans. Oh, was Bush president in 2010? I know how Oblamer liked to well, blame it on someone else. So, are you that uninformed in the country?

That would be great if I was talking about federal student loan programs, but your hero GW turned them over to the banks. Obama brought them back. The kids are still suffering, and will be for years, from letting banks determine the interest rates instead of having fixed rates from the Feds.

And none of Obamas jobs bill will cost us anything except when if they were to tax the rich, it would just be passed on to us...but its free! And that one trillion dollar stumulus program was free, it only cost us a trillion in new debt. I see how this math works...

A generic Republican candidate leads President Obama by five points in a hypothetical 2012 matchup for the week ending Sunday, October 23. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds the generic Republican earning 46% support, while the president picks up 41% of the vote. We don't need Joe, however, anybody will do. No one could be a worse dimsmal failure than Obama...well, Carter wasn't so bad afterall....

Who is this perfect generic candidate? The GOP/Tea cannot produce one. No GOP/TEA candidate currently CANNOT BEAT Obama if the election was held today. The GOP approval rating is at 9%. And you think we want more of these GOP Clowns? http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20125482-503544/congressional-approval-at-all-time-low-of-9-according-to-new-cbs-news-new-york-times-poll/

CBS? Well, all other polls of active voters likely to vote have all of the other GOP candidates beathing Obama except one...Bachman would lose by 4%. Now, go have a good cry...he's gone just like Rasmussen is showing right now.

No sitting or standing president has ever really affected my income/lifestyle over the years. I just rely on my hands and feet and brain!!Get it. I get up and go to work and make good financial decisions. Sometimes trying situations may arise to knock the "proverbial wind out of my sail", but I just pick myself up again and go. Sometimes, bad situations/actions happen to people and they have a hard time getting back up. We never know what tomorrow may bring. Stop bashing each other over such trivial matters; because you never know when something may ruin your present cushy and comfortable life. Oh, btw, Obama is not such a bad guy!! We all should be thankful to have him as our president. He'll easily win re-election!! So, stop hating him and get behind him. Unite for the better America. Not this divided mess that I read here everyday.
