No Sign Of Survivors In Arizona Plane Crash

Authorities say the body of a child has been recovered from the scene of a plane crash in the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix.

A small plane with three adults and three children on board crashed Wednesday night and authorities say there was no sign of survivors.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu says preliminary reports indicate the twin-engine plane flew from Safford to Mesa's Falcon Field to pick up three children for the Thanksgiving holiday.

He says a pilot, a mechanic and another adult also were on board.

The children reportedly ranged in age from 5 to 9.

A sheriff's spokesman says one child's body was recovered late Wednesday night, but additional information wasn't immediately available.

The names of the six people aboard haven't been released.
