Its already over $4 dollars for Obamagas up in the northeast. I guess the new slogan will be hope for change in 2012 because everything this president does, just kills the middleclass while rewarding the do not want to work class....Is he from Kenya or Greece?

Obamagas went up to $3.62 a gallon in Washington. But I am breathing so much better due to all those massive EPA regulations! I sleep well, knowing that my money is going to some poor terrorist so he can afford bullets for his AK-47 afterall, my wealth redistribution is for the children and old people of that murdering terrorist. And Obama said he wasn't going to raise taxes on the poor and middleclass....seems he forgot to mention those new regs that make it more desirable to sell gas overseas than here....

Stock markets drive up the price of gas not demand! The sad thing is many people think that this new pipeline or new wells bring the cost of gas down but it won't. Why if we have a free market do we continue to subsidize any business?

  • by Yep, It's Bush again on Feb 13, 2012 at 07:40 PM
According to the Senate Report, the Bush administration added forty million barrels of oil to the nation’s reserves in 2002. That wouldn’t be a problem in and of it self. But the purchases represented an extreme change in energy policy; they were made in a strong market, with a tight supply of oil, which increased demand, which in turn pushed up the gasoline prices to their highest levels in twelve years. The Senate report said in a one-month period in mid 2002 the Bush administration purchases caused crude oil prices to soar, raising the cost of heating oil by 13%, jet fuel by 10% and diesel fuel by 8%. The bottom line was the Bush policy change cost citizens between $500 million and $1 billion.

30 years ago it was clear we were helplessly dependent on oil. 30 years have passed and we're even more dependent on it. We say we're for democracy and freedom but back dictators and autocrats that torture, commit atrocities and reject freedom. We spend trillions on a war machine raised specifically to protect oil interest in the middle east where we have no other logical interest. All the money we spend on oil goes to foriegn countries and large corporations- it leaves our economy. Every additional dime we spend is a dime lost to the world's oil cartel. We're pumping more and more CO2 in the air while oil washes up on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. And now oil interests are getting more powerful- since they can donate massive amounts of money to the candidates who will do their bidding. Who will our representative serve- us or them??

These days it has NOTHING to do about a person's ability to lead and/or represent their constituents and all about one thing and one thing only i.e. MONEY!!! PERIOD!!! The one with the most money will get the establishment's blessing e.g. Romney, etc. Shame we've lost our democratic republic ideals for a few pieces of silver!! Money has corrupted DC, NCAA, courts, etc.!! CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM!!! Let's take our country back from special interests!! Return it to the people!!!!

I sincerely believe I'd vote for ANY politician that included - as part of his or her running platform - to put an end to these gas companies having a field day with their up-and-down pricing, by of as much as 10 cents in less than 8 hours! THERE'SJUST NO SENSE OR EXCUSE IN THIS - PERIOD!

Obamagas will take him out, mandating health care abortions to catholics will make sure of it. Then maybe, backing down on EPA regs, starting drilling in the gulf and the pipeline from Canada will bring it back to normal. At least we won't have to deal with middle east in crisis as Imanutjob tries to block the straights....

The Democraps controlled the Congress when Bush was in office the last two years. Obama took over with gas @ $1.80 a gallon and he promised change and redistribution of wealth. Change is about all I have left in my pocket. Gas prices have more than doubled and the daily staples keep rising. If the incentives had gone away where do you think prices would be at. The idiots in Washington continue to want to be the world's caretaker. Well folks charity begins at home. Take care of the LEGAL CITIZENS of the US first and foremost. My 2 cents worth.

March 1, 2011: House Republicans unanimously voted against rolling back taxpayer subsidies for Big Oil. Republicans voted against an amendment to prohibit large oil companies from receiving certain tax breaks, like the domestic manufacturing deduction in the 2004 international tax law. February 18, 2011: 95% of House Republicans voted against closing Big Oil loopholes that cost taxpayers billions and making oil companies pay their fair share for drilling on public lands. To reduce the deficit, this amendment would have fixed a flaw in 1998 and 1999 leases in the Gulf of Mexico that allows oil companies to drill without paying any royalties that could cost American taxpayers up to $53 billion over the next 25 years.

Republicans are worse, unable to bring themselves to admit that a mature industry with a lucrative business plan based on technological lock-in could do without tax breaks going on nearly a century old. Nor do they have any ideas except party hearty on fossil fuels — drilling and depleting America's oil reserves as fast as possible and forcing greater dependence on the dregs of the hydrocarbon world — the dirty, low-grade, high-cost stuff closer to the bottom of the barrel.

So did you sell you house and car yet to replace it? I hope that walk to work has got you weight in check since you apparently, have already winged yourself off of fossil fuels...I mean, no one but a hypocrit would have posted that drivel without setting and example. You know electric high priced car, solar panels on the roof and a big ole fat windmill cranking out your power needs 365 days a year. Otherwise, did you take the dnc hypocritical oath?

I see we have a typical dem on here somehow trying to blame REPUBLICANS for high gas prices. You know this is bad for obama so you are trying to do whatever you can. Even idiotic claims. Do you really believe that raising the taxes on oil companies are going to lower the prices for the consumer? I suggest you attend in a basis business course. Customers pay higher taxes. Not the company. You want prices to go down you tap all domestic oil reserves and reserves from our friends and eliminate OPEC nations being able to control supply and prices.

You know, sometimes you have some sensible posts, but this exaberates plain liberal hype. Obimbo had the oil companies audited just like every president in this country for price gouging. Its been three years now over 3 bucks a gallon going to 4, where is the report? It died, nothing wrong, nothing to find. So blaming refineries that are already kept under close scrutiny found nothing but talking points from his teleprompter. In the meantime, we give two billion to Argentina for oil, they sold to China, we killed the pipeline and Soros, Obamas biggest campaign contributor is making millions everyday off of his oil stock in Argentina oil. So boohoo all you want, we know whats going on and that fluff you posted is merely lip service for a liberal party trying desperately to defend the worst president in history. Well, he knows he is gone and confirmed it when he attached contraceptives and abortive drugs to healthcare. Its over, 70 million catholics plus hispanics and a lot of black voters who pick god over president, one and done. His electorial votes confirmed it, one term Obama spend what you can, you cannot win the game so destroy the board.
