Mitt Romney Wins Washington State GOP Caucuses

Mitt Romney has won a double-digit victory in Washington state's Republican presidential caucuses.

It's his fourth campaign triumph in a row and a fresh show of strength in the run-up to the 10-state Super Tuesday contests next week.

Rick Santorum and Ron Paul are battling for second place in the Washington state caucuses, while Newt Gingrich is running a distant fourth in the state.

Returns from 43 percent of the state's precincts show Romney with 37 percent of the vote. Paul and Santorum each have 24 percent. Gingrich is drawing 11 percent.

A total of 40 delegates are at stake.

It won't make any difference yet, its the primaries, not the campaign. I wouldn't worry much about it. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18

It wont make any difference yet, its the primaries, not the campaign, don't worry much about it, after the elections really kicks into gear President Obamas numbers are going to increase by leaps and bounds. Rasmussen will be reporting that also. Just wait.

Doesn't have to run first? Does the term epic fail mean anything to you? We remember when democrats had Jimmy Carter winning his second term....he lost by a landslide.

OSOC's daily Ratspukin poll says, "Looking to the general election, the president leads Romney 47% to 42%. If Rick Santorum is the Republican nominee, the president leads 46% to 43%." Uh oh, Mittens!

Yes, and if you read the info there you would know Obama cannot win with 47%. Bush had 60% and barely won. The primaries are still going on....bye bye Bama...

Oh, I see. In right wing nut world, the guy that finishes first doesn't win. Well, you did have the Supreme Court hand you and election so I can see how you are confused. I know that one confused me.

Really? Now thats an interresting theory for a libterd. 10 points? Well, Jimmy Carter wishes he had that...HE was only at 49% and lost by 20% during the campaign. However, it is better to by koolaid when it goes on sale rather than paying full price.

If this is as good as the republican party can produce, Obama, is a sure win. Romney said he'd bring troops home "as soon as humanly possible – as soon as that mission is complete." What a non-answer. Well okay Mitt, when will that mission be complete? Can you answer that question? Wonder how he can sleep at night giving BS answers like that to the concerned parents of troops in Afghanistan?

What is the mission, to be targets for the Afgans? Do we wait until the Afgans have killed them all off and bring them all home in body bags.

I haven't seen this much excitement since Michelle Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll. We younger Ladies do not like the GOP anymore since all they talk about is birth control. I am in my child bearing years and I am pro choice AND IT IS GOING TO STAY THAT WAY.

Rather have the party that will force live birth abortions and birth control on people than the GOP, great choice.

A view from across the pond : Hey Mitt don't get so excited, it's Washington State, not Washington DC, a place you are not going to take over in November, just book your guided tour of the White House and take your three colleagues with you, but you'll have to wait in lone with everyone else I'm afraid.
