Mitt Romney Wins Illinois Primary

Mitt Romney has won the Illinois Republican presidential primary, besting rival Rick Santorum in the big-state contest.

Exit poll results show Romney was preferred by Illinois primary-goers who said the economy was the top issue in the campaign.

The former Massachusetts governor also was overwhelmingly favored by those who said an ability to defeat President Barack Obama was the quality they most wanted in a GOP nominee.

Haha. I first read the headline as "Mitt Romney Wins Illinois 'Lottery'." I thought "hmm, wonder if he'll continue to run." Boy, my coffee hasn't kicked in, yet! :)

Looks like its going to be Richie Rich (Mitt) running against Obama, another 4 years. Republicans are pushing the same social and trickle down economics. If they get into office, there going to make sure the 1% and Corporations continue to rob this country.

All you liberal haters might as well get used to the new President's name come inauguration day 2014. Repeat after me PRESIDENT ROMNEY, PRESIDENT SANTORUM, PRESIDENT GINGRICH, PRESIDENT PAUL, practice those names. One of them WILL beat Obama and there is nothing you can do about it at this point. Obama has been a complete and utter failure, everyone knows it, he has buried himself, he is a one term president. Did any of you bother to look at the new figures today? Obama has increased the national debt more in three years and a couple of months than President Bush did in eight years. Now take into consideration the rebuilding due to 9-11 and the wars that WERE APPROVED BY DEMOCRATS and you have an even larger increase in debt by Obama. Again, he is done, accept it and move on, your lies will not save this sorry excuse of a President that you put in office!!

Take your own advise and look at the poll numbers. I have yet to hear specifically what the GOP plans are to bring jobs back to the United States. Santorun says unemployment is not his concern, and Romney has sent more jobs overseas than anyone else running. His speech tonight only talked about Obama, and used talking points to feed the crowd, nothing about what he would do.

The GOP plan to get more jobs is pretty simple (not to mention, OBVIOUS): Get the current money-fairy out of the whitehouse. The handouts to those UNDESERVING of assistance will stop. Those people will then go get jobs that are available but currently taken by immigrant laborers because the current freeloaders can make as much off the gubment for doing nothing as they could putting in a full day at a farm. Win-Win. More Americans with jobs. Fewer Americans living off gubment assistance. Fewer American dollars being sent South of the border.

Then why was Massachusetts 47th in job creation when Mitt Romney was a one term governor?

Then why was gas only 1.81 a gallon when Obama took over and not going to 4 dollars? Why was unemployment at 5.5 during Bush's term and now over 8%? And why did Obama spend one trillion dollars on a stimulus to pay back his campaign supporters? Why have so many solar and wind companies and projects failed? Why did Obama sick the EPA to scatter American industry all over the world? So many questions, am sure you have all the answers, break down the American dream for a new communist coming.

Mitt Romney is not a quality candidate. When you outspend your opponent 5, 6, or 7 to 1 and barely win you are not an admired candidate. Just a wealthy one who can buy the lowest class of voters this country has to offer. Spend, Spend, Spend...and he complains about Obamas spending???

Obama barely beat McCain and he had almost a Billion Dollars to Spend. This time around they say he will have a Billion to Spend. How come no mention about Obummer's spending. He can't run on his record. What about the union money, all the dues they collect to spend it trying to re-elect the jobs killer?

39% have reservations about their candidate? What a ringing endorsement. I love Obama. Obama/Biden 2012. GOP turnout was the same as it was in 2008. Bad news for the Republicans.

I can't vote for him... he may have the majority of the republican vote, but I don't trust him.... there is something about him that screams he's no different than all the other business as usual politicians.

After watching Romney's speech of getting the gov't out of business's way- Why do I get the feeling there is a vulture watching me? Do any of these GOP candidates ever deal in the truth? It's amazing how far a person can get by building a platform based on lies.

I watched Romney speak. I lost count on how many times he used the words President Obama. And how our economy is broken. Read a newspaper Mitt and speak facts. PS, The notation you used about Professor Obama teaching a class nearby made you look like an i d i o t. We already know that. A Presidential debate can not come soon enough.

Romney is the biggest liar ever. Nothing but lie after lie. The only thing this guy knows about jobs is how to cut them. What is this freedom he's talking about? Freedom to pollute our air, freedom to raid retirement accounts or sell bad securities, freedom to spill oil in a river? What freedom is this fake talking about?

Who is in charge of powering him down when this speech is done? He's running a negative campaign but his solutions will make only the 1% richer. He has the gall to complain that Obama's policies have caused the high unemployment rate. How many jobs has John Boehner's Republicans created in The House? He tells women that they're on their own with respect to health services. Mitt is a dangerous man who constantly lies and expects Americans to look for "freedom" from govt. services.
