McCreery's 'Idol' Party Moves To Larger Arena

The party for North Carolina's "American Idol" finalist is moving to more spacious digs.

The viewing party for Scotty McCreery of Garner will be held Wednesday night at the RBC Center in Raleigh. McCreery and Lauren Alaina Suddeth will find out that night which one won the singing competition.

Previous viewing parties have been held at Garner High School, where the 17-year-old McCreery attends classes. But the Fox television show is managing the final viewing party and covering its costs at the RBC Center, which seats about 20,000 people.

Way to go Scotty! I graduated from Garner High before he was born and it is SO exciting for something so big to come out of a town so small.
