Madonna Headlines Super Bowl Halftime Show

Madonna positioned herself as the queen of a new generation of pop stars at the Super Bowl halftime show -- complete with throne -- but didn't have complete control of Sunday night's show.

Guest singer M.I.A. flipped the middle finger to the audience after uttering a barely disguised expletive during a performance of Madonna's new single.

M.I.A. was one of two guests who contributed vocals to the bubblegum pop song, "Give Me All Your Luvin'," along with Nicki Minaj. Dance rockers LMFAO and singer Cee Lo also joined the halftime show.

Madonna seemed like Roman royalty when muscle-bound men carried her extravagant throne across the football field to the stage for her opening song, "Vogue."

You must either a nun, a preist, or a saint since you're so goody-goody and able to call out others so easily.

Thankfully, I missed the half time show. I missed the actual game as well. Come to think of it, I never see any of them, nor could I tell you how any of them are played, or who their star players are...because I have ZERO interest in sports, period. I've gone all of my 44 years without bothering with such silliness, and will happily keep going.

I agree with "Duh!" I think I heard that 111.3 million people tuned in to watch this year's super bowl- not a big sports fan myself but i realize that the super bowl is a big deal and a lot of people enjoy it. don't like it? don't watch it. nobody cares.

It is your comment that is not only ignorant, but also immature. You can't disagree with someone without resorting to being rude and insulting. Nice.

To the ones that said the finger didn't fly; NFL and NBC just issued apologies for the act by MIA. Now carry yourselves to the doctor because you inserted your feet too far down you piehole.

Wow....such a comment coming from someone who finds flipping the bird offensive. You got some double standards don't cha.

I wish M.I.A. was MIA for the performance. She is nothing but a thug who thinks she can sing. What she did was a disgrace to everyone who watched; especially the young children who are influenced by these "role models."

The game was rigged. The show stunk. It's over. Get a life.

Her voice is very good; most of her songs are enjoyable too. I've never liked the way she has been choreographed, however. Her costumes are too flamboyant, though not as revealing as other performers (think J.Lo). Those headdresses looked a bit pagan to me too; hated the throne. I was hoping the show would carry simply based on her vocal performance. I give it 2 stars; both for her voice and face. She does look well for her age. Her 'people' could have presented her much better (think, 'Material Girl' video).

That also is NOT her face. If you had her money, you'd have a purdy face too.
