Gingrich Campaign Directly Hits Romney

It appears Newt Gingrich isn’t playing nice anymore.

The Gingrich campaign is out with its first opposition email directly hitting none other than GOP rival Mitt Romney -- a move that signals a departure from the positive-only campaign Gingrich himself promised to run.

“Can we trust a Massachusetts Moderate to enact a conservative agenda?," Gingrich Communications Director Joe DeSantis writes in the email sent out Monday evening. "Our campaign might have plenty of things to say about that, but the best response certainly comes from Mitt Romney himself: 'I think people recognize that I am not a partisan Republican. That I'm someone who is moderate, and that my views are progressive.'"

The email, labeled “FACT SHEET: MITT THE MASSACHUSETTS MODERATE,” makes fun of Romney’s new television ad running in Iowa during which the former Massachusetts Governor portrays himself as a "conservative businessman.” It quotes what people have said about Romney and a few things Romney has said in the past.

Ironically, the former House Speaker is currently running a TV ad in Iowa himself, during which he says: “Others seem to be more focused on attacks, rather than moving the country forward. That's up to them.”

You said "socialist-democratic country". Do you know when the French Revolution took place? Obviously, you don't know the result of it! LOL!! It was NOT followed by a "socialist-democratic" ANYTHING! After up to 40,000 people were killed on both sides, the Directory took control for a year until Napoleon! You really don't know one thing about history, do you? The point, again, is NOT to condone communism, but to prove through historical FACTS that an increase of socialist-type programs to help the middle and lower classes does NOT cause communism. It is and has been historically the huge divides between the upper class and the rest of the populace that has led to Revolutions! Those Revolutions have seldom resulted in positive ways, but they could have been avoided had the government not allowed a minority of the wealthy to abuse and take advantage of the majority! No wonder you can't understand my point, you really don't even know what I am talking about-you and History Student need to hit the books!

The right wing is sooo concerned about tax money for health or single mothers-try this on for size. Walmart made 19 Billion dollars in profit last year, yet we tax payers provide food stamps for 80% of their employees because their wages are so low! Of course, those people can go work somewhere else-the same arguements used for keeping sweat shops open, child labor, and dangerous working conditons. It use to be called the "company store", where mill workers were not only worked for poverty wages, but their rent and food was bought from their employee, so they remained in debt to them! Wonder how many Walmart employees used their stamps at work! This has got to stop! Are profits really supposed to be limitless at the expense of American workers? The four members of the Walton family are worth the bottom 30% of ALL Americans together!! And you wonder why the OWS is taking to the streets? Open your eyes!!

Why don't you look that up? Do you know what percentage of Wal-mart's employees are "part time" so they get NO BENEFITS! I, personally , now people who have been there for 8 years and been promised full time and still do not have it. Why don't you look up the "salaries" and bonuses paid to the managers and CEO's and you'll find that 19 billion! But it won't be with the people on their feet, waiting on the customers and bringing in the money!

All the news outlets are reporting the blitz of TV ads from Romney's camp and PAC groups against Gingrich. In fact, they credit these negative ads in part with the "fall" of Gingrich's poll numbers. Yet, this article discusses Gingrich's attack on Romney. If they will play this dirty against each other-imagine what the national campaign will be like. BTW- if Romney wants to compare Obama with Marie Antionette-he should watch where that metaphor goes-she and ALL the wealthy were overthrown and executed by the poor!!

You just don't get it! It wasn't a "welfare" state that caused the French Revolution-it was the gap between the "have's" and the "have nots"-just as it has always been!!! Name one communist country that was caused due to the government taking care of the poor! Now, go back and look at the communists countries caused by those countries who did NOT look after all their people!!

YOU are the one who needs to learn history. Who do you think "revolted" during the Russian Revolution? The Red Army was made up of peasants!!! They overthrew a Czar that had starved them for years and forced them to fight in WWI and go to their certain death!! Lenin was the leader AFTER the Revolution!!! He was able to establish Communism because the people were starving under Nicholas and the gap between the workers and the wealthy was so large!! As for China: Chiang Kai-shek massacred the Communists and the workers. He established nothing more than an imperialistic, semi-feudal society-again the "have's and have not's'. He was overthrown due to his total lack of concern and consideration for the majority of the population! You, sir know NOTHING about history!! Stalin was the leader AFTER the Revolution!! Yes, he murdered Russians-anyone who wanted to re-establish the old order. Just for the "record". When the French were busy killing all the aristocrats simply because they WERE aristocrats-guess what American leader thought it was appropriate? JEFFERSON!! My point, which you don't seem to be able to understand is that a country who wants to survive MUST avoid unrealistic gaps of wealth. History has proved this true over and over. I am NOT condoning the Revolutions-I am saying history tells us how to avoid them!!!

Well then, go against the democrats as the do not pay their fair share to charity. Seems republicans pay 300% more than democrats. So if they would give and share the burden, Warren Buffet wouldn't be a billionaire. Now tell me one country that has survived off of communism? Tell me one that didn't murder millions in the name of communism and those were not rich people they killed either. My people came here to the US to escape communism which cost half my family their lives. So convince me how great a failed government is. You cannot and will not, it doesn't exist. Maybe you should go to Greece to see how that is working or Spain to see how lovely that government works. Epic Failure. So you support failed forms of government, well...go over there and leave America alone, away from you libterdial wish. Like so many in this country....we are all well armed and prepared to defend the country against communist and socialism. Good luck with that hopey dopey change....you voted for it, wallow in it.

great example of a socialist-democratic country. Just a typical failure once you run out of the rich peoples money and then borrow from the EU. French debt levels come in at about 83 percent of the gross domestic product of the country. Anything above 65 percent has traditionally been considered moving into the danger zone, but these days 83 percent looks pretty good compared to other countries. This is particularly true when you consider the efforts France has put in to helping other European Union countries weather the financial crisis.

This is not going in the right direction with all the bickering. If yout ruly want to blame someone, you need to look in the mirror. This is the peoples fault for not upholding the laws that our fore fathers established. One person is defending the Dems, one the Rep. and now someone is defending all of the un-constitutional wars that have been fought for "our freedom". If you want to play the blame game look at yourselves. As Americans we have allowed the government to control us. We the people should control government. We are heading in the wrong direction. There should be no two parties we were established as a Constitutional Republic. Take time to read and study history. The constitution has the perfect plan laid out for us to follow but our fathers grandfathers and so on have screwed us and now we are left with a huge mess that has been caused by alot of Presidents. The last President that truly cared for the American people was John F Kennedy. The only candidate that now that backs the ENTIRE Constitution and has done so for over thirty years is Dr. Ron Paul. As an American, read the Constitution, and look at where we are and where we would had it been followed in its entirety. Thanks

The Constitution is NOT specific! The writers deliberately left room for change! The original allowed slavery, gave voting rights only to white men. As for your "no two parties"- reread about the Federalists and the Anti-Federalist, which were two parties!!! The writers of the Constitution debated and argued like dogs!! Washington did not like Jefferson-Jefferson did not like Hamilton- etc.!! Jefferson sued a newsman for printing facts about him in his paper because they were derogatory-but they were TRUE!! Now libel laws are totally different-thanks to Hamilton. What do you think Kennedy-the President during the Bay of Pigs and the stand off in Oct. would think of Paul's foreign policy? Get real, man, and learn some history!

It was put into the constitution to rid slavery and to give blacks the right to vote. Why you don't know that....no idea...you need to learn about slavery and the constitution...google is just a key stroke away.

Well i do agree that there is public indoctrination. We seem to have common ground there because everything i have read and studied is not what i was taught in school. Most of what i have learned has been pretty close to opposite to what i was taught. So my information does not come from "public education" it comes from a drive within to change this country back to what our fore fathers envisioned it to be. No Kennedy was not perfect i never said he was however, he tried nore than any president after him with orders such as 11110 which would have abolished the fed and brought back a gold standard. the fed is a central bank owned by private indiviuals and banks that have killed this nation Thomas Jefferson and Andrew jackson knew this and fought to prevent them and Jackson won by killing the Second Central bank of America. But the ad hominem against me is not neccesary. I have read alot more than i can remember this is what i do in my free time between three jobs. And we shouldnt even have public schools its a socialist idea.

We won battles you never heard of. Secret war in Laos, secret war in Cambodia, Cuban Missile Crisis, prepaared for war in Greenland, Guam, and Hawaii before it became a state. Sometimes, unless one knows what he or she is talking about, it is better to be quiet. Seen pics of men in piles, fought wars without guns, could not go into bunkers. Get a life. Lived for ten years in the woods in N.C. taking animal tracks. Been going to see doctors for 20 years. Seek no pity, it was my choice to help our country be safe. Really, sometimes it is better to not understand fully what is going on in our world. Good night and may God bless america and all the people in it, including the Indians, Blacks, Whites, etc.

That is easy, we wouldn't have to spend billions if we drilled on our own shores and the prices would come down in the US below 2 dollars a gallon. Have you not seen the trend where Bush left office with a gas price of $1.61 a gallon, its been over three since Obimbo took office and will the next years, as long as he is in office. Now that is change you can believe in. He is milking the middleclass and poor for his wealth redistribution....

There is zero evidence that the price of gas would have dropped had we drilled for more oil. If you want to accept that reasoning as valid, you should very damn well argue that had we started to shift away from fossil fuels during the first gas crisis, that we wouldn't suffer from high-gas prices now, as we wouldn't be dependent on foreign oil or oil period in the present day.

It does not take a mathematician to understand that the billions of dollars spent on war could have gone to fix some of our other problems... And those who think Bush should be pardoned for his contribution to the mess we're in now are narrow-minded and not seeing the big picture... It's not like Bush left a perfectly clean slate for Obama... And it's not like Bush didn't do plenty of ceiling raising himself when he was in office... It's funny how many people defend Bush, the Republicans and the TEA party considering they represent the uber rich, which is only 1% of the country... In the past, raising the debt ceiling was routine. Since the 1950s, Congress has always passed it, and every President has signed it. President Reagan did it 18 times. George W. Bush did it 7 times during his 8 year term, after inheriting a surplus from Clinton.
