Gas Prices Are Highest Ever For This Time Of Year

Gasoline prices have never been higher this time of the year. At $3.53 a gallon, prices are already up 25 cents since Jan. 1. And experts say they could reach a record $4.25 by late April.

The surge in gas prices follows an increase in the price of oil.

Higher gas prices could hurt consumer spending and curtail the recent improvement in the economy.

A 25-cent jump in gasoline prices, if sustained over a year, would cost the economy about $35 billion. Economists say it's a meaningful amount, especially at a time when growth is only so-so.

There's really no surprise here. Fits right into Makmoud Obama's "$green$ initiative. Re-electing him will only further the agenda. If you like it, then vote for him again. if not, then vote for somebody else.

The price of gas has nothing to do with the President. Ignorance is bliss

Oh yes it does....as does continued high unemployment. The right leader would have been working hard to address them in every way possible.

Barrack Obama's energy policy has brought us to this point of $3.75 price per gallon for gasoline. When he took office gasoline was selling in the $1.75 range per gallon.

I would like to know why do taxpayers have to subsidize the oil companies, especially when they are making record profits. And also when they have so much gas on hand that they sell it overseas. Now that is a slap in the face to American taxpayers. I do not believe our government and businesses get the idea that this country will never turn around until exported jobs are brought back into the US, and cheap gas makes the world turn. Cheap gas is like the domino effect. When you have cheap gas the effect of that cheap gas spreads out and grows. People will spend more when gas is cheap. Back to my question of wondering why taxpayers have to subsidize the oil companies, I really know the answer to that question. It is called political payback and that is what soft money will do for you. And speaking of soft money, that always leads to corruption and that is a BIG reason why this country is in the shape it is in. And it is not a total Democrat issue nor a total Republican issue, it is a Congressional issue. (everybody in govment).

There are so many manipulative tactics that's being stated against PRESIDENT Obama. Prices are going up regardless, no matter who's President. We are in the last days, and there aren't many people respecting authority figures. These positions are ordained by God. A curse awaits people who disrespects His people whom are in authority.

The price of oil at 9:00 PM on the London Exchange just hit $105 a barrel- up $1.70 from Friday's close. You can bet it is going to be a wild ride when the US Markets open tomorrow morning, if that trend continues.
