A fire has torn through the home of an advertising executive in a tony neighborhood along the Connecticut shoreline, killing five people, including three children on Christmas morning.
Madonna Badger, who property records show bought the large Victorian home last year, was able to get out of the house, along with one other adult. The two were taken to a hospital, where a hospital supervisor says Badger was later discharged.
Officials are not releasing the names or ages of the victims, or describing their relationship to each other. Badger, an ad executive in the fashion industry, is the founder of Badger & Winters Group. The company website says she is married with three children.
