EPA To Seek To Cut Power Plant Carbon By One-Third

Today, the Obama administration will roll out a plan to reduce earth-warming pollution from power plants by 30 percent by the year 2030.

But the plan carries significant political and legal risks, by further reducing the use of coal in producing U.S. electricity.

Coal now supplies just under 40 percent of the nation's electricity.
