Bachmann Goes After Gingrich On His Abortion Record

Although the Family Leader Thanksgiving forum held on Saturday night had far less inter-candidate fireworks than a typical Turkey Day family reunion, Rep. Michele Bachmann launched an attack even before the candidates walked off stage.

The Bachmann campaign sent an email skewering the newly surging Newt Gingrich’s record on abortion.

“Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has failed to uphold a consistently pro-life stance throughout his career in public life,” the email reads. Team Bachmann accuses Gingrich of being "open to watering down the Republican Party's commitment to the inalienable right to life."

The candidate told reporters that she only intends to draw a contrast with other candidates' "surprises."

"What we're trying to do is underscore again the fact that there are differences in the candidates and you won't find surprises with me," she said.

Asked after the forum to comment, Gingrich appeared incredulous.

"I have no idea what she's talking about," he said, later adding "I'm not going to comment randomly on emails I haven't read."

The attack from Bachmann is the second time this week that she has targeted Gingrich. She honed in on reports about his consulting for Freddie Mac earlier this week, telling voters she "wasn't shilling" for the mortgage giant before the financial crisis.

Votto, are you posting as me? Whats up, can't spell Washington? You kids get out of my yard! Sounds like children pretend.....Yeah, you are bored, holding those signs at Occupy Greenville must have been boring. Votto, work on it. One day you will be knowledgeable to post a rebuttal instead of retreating to pretend. Of course, you will be a conservative then. Right now, you are still hanging out with the libterds. WE see the influence.

I completely agree. I would also like to add that it is obvious that you are a republican that knows nothing more than GOP rhetoric and spouts it off even when it isnt relevant. Then you claim that you arent just so you can feel like you are actually putting some rational thoughts together that you copy and pasted from fox news. Thanks for the post though!

Obama leads all GOP candidates in head-to-heads: Obama-Romney: 47-42 Obama-Perry: 52-36 Obama-Cain: 50-40 Obama-Gingrich: 52-37. And the national Debates have yet to happen. Poll was prior to the Super committee failure by the GOP with their loyalty to Norquist.

I find the remark hard to tie into a racist remark...are you trying to make it one? And you also avoid remarks about the women that were running in the primary and the black American you went after by making stories up on him...sort of like profiling him cause of his color. We know who the racists and sexists own that.

By Democratic pollsters Patrick Caddell and Doug Schoen - Barack Obama has shown such poor leadership as president that he needs to step down before the next election for the good of the country, Democratic pollsters Patrick Caddell and Doug Schoen say. They made their call on the day that Obama was criticized anew for failing to prevent the collapse of the congressional budget supercommittee, which is on the verge of announcing that it has failed to reach agreement on ways to solve the country’s debt crisis "One year ago in these pages, we warned that if President Obama continued down his overly partisan road, the nation would be 'guaranteed two years of political gridlock at a time when we can ill afford it.'" Caddell and Schoen write. "The result has been exactly as we predicted: stalemate in Washington, fights over the debt ceiling, an inability to tackle the debt and deficit, and paralysis exacerbating market turmoil and economic decline." Now the pair say Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has to be prodded into taking Obama’s place as the Democrats’ candidate in November next year. It is clear that she commands majority support throughout the country,” the respected pollsters write in an op-ed in Monday’s Wall Street Journal. Their comments came amid mounting criticism of Obama’s detachment from the workings of the supercommittee. As it neared its deadline, the president was off the mainland U.S. for nine days, hosting an Asian-Pacific summit in Hawaii before jetting off to Australia and Indonesia. He returned to Washington on Sunday.

You keep leading with "Democrat" for Caddell and Schoen. Well, let's get this REAL! Caddell left the Democratic party in 1988 after a law suit-so I doubt if anyone with any sense who call him "impartial". As for Doug Schoen-He is a FOX NEWS reporter!!! The "supercommittee" was an agreement met because Boehner couldn't get the House to back any agreement he offered in the debt meetings. It became clear to the American people that it didn't matter what Boehner agreed to-he couldn't deliver the votes in the House to make it work! This supercommitte is part of the 98% that the Republicans bragged about getting. Now, the same thing is happening. The Republicans on the committee can't get their own party to back their positions! Obama is NOT ON this committee!! Making law is NOT the job of the president! It is the job of CONGRESS!! It isn't his fault that the TPers in the House will not even co-operate with their own leaders! They are committed to Norquist-NOT the USA and they will be sent home!!

Wall Street’s early support for the president in 2008 was vital in that it provided seed money to finance large events and ads that eventually led to raising money from other sources, people who worked in the Obama campaign said. The reasons for the Wall Street boycott 2012 of the Obama campaign go beyond the president’s support of financial reform legislation in the aftermath of the 2008 financial collapse that many executives also say adds needless new regulations leading to lower profits and contributing to the current round of Wall Street layoffs, according to interviews with senior Wall Street executives. Rather they point to the president’s increasing use of class-warfare rhetoric as well as his recent support for the Occupy Wall Street protests, which continue to demonize Wall Street bankers with sometimes violent demonstrations. For Barack Obama Microsoft Corp $171,573 Comcast Corp $113,800 Harvard University $99,975 Google Inc $95,066 University of California $85,941 - For Mitt Romney Goldman Sachs $367,200 Credit Suisse Group $203,750 Morgan Stanley $194,300 HIG Capital $186,500 Barclays $157,750 just simple facts

Really 2000 years?! Then why arent all of these people going to jail, oh wait, because its not illegal and in the eyes of the law its not murder. And if you are trying to reference that it is religiously wrong then would you tell me the part in the bible that says though shall not abort. You do know there is a difference between a living, breathing human being and an embryo right. Oh and when you post that link will you also post the one where Monica said that she was sexually assualted by Clinton? I already asked you to show your proof in an earlier post but you chose to ignore that. Also you are stating that intentionally killing an embryo is murder and should be treated as such, so a logical correlation is that if a woman has a miscarriage then the baby was accidentally and unitentionally terminated by the womans body, correct? Isnt unintentionally killing someone called involuntary manslaughter? All I was doing was using the logic you already provided to come to a conclusion. Not only have people been breaking the law and murdering people for 2000 years and getting away with it, they have also been performing countless acts of manslaughter as well. So tell me again, if all of this is illegal like you say it is, why are none of them in jail? Dont worry, Ill wait.........

Obama his support at major Wall Street firms, banks and among private equity managers has eroded so much that it is possible that not a single major executive from these businesses will openly support him for re-election in 2012. The analysis -- conducted through interviews with numerous Wall Street executives including several chief executives at major banks, as well as an examination of recent campaign contribution filings -- is in stark contrast to the nearly universal support the president enjoyed among both senior banking executives during his successful 2008 president campaign over Republican John McCain. Obama’s lack of support among bank executives may be most acute in the executive suite. In 2008, many chief executives at the big firms were early supporters of the president. The financial industry was ranked fourth in total contributions to the president with powerhouse Goldman Sachs ranked as the president’s 2nd largest supporter, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Goldman’s chief executive officer Lloyd Blankfein and firm President Gary Cohn are both registered Democrats with Cohn being one of Obama’s earliest 2008 supporters. But as the 2012 election approaches, Blankfein has told people inside Goldman he will likely support Republican Mitt Romney for president if Romney wins the Republican nomination, while records show that Goldman is now the leading contributor to Romney’s campaign for the 2012 election cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. And he isn’t alone. Jamie Dimon, the head of JPMorgan , Chase was also a 2008 Obama supporter, as were people like then Morgan Stanley Chief Executive John Mack and Larry Fink, the chief executive of money management powerhouse BlackRock All except Fink are now moving into the Romney camp

From the Blaze; Chris Matthews; What are we trying to do in this administration? Why does he want a second term? Would he tell us? What’s he going to do in the second term? More of this? Is this it? Is this as good as it gets? Where are we going? Are we going to do something the second term? He has yet to tell us. He has not said one thing about what he would do in the second term. He never tells us what he is going to do with reforming our healthcare systems, Medicare, Medicaid, how is going to reform Social Security. Is he going to deal with long-term debt? How? Is he going to reform the tax system? How? Just tell us. Why are we in this fight with him? Just tell us, Commander, give us our orders and tell us where we’re going, give us the mission. And he hasn’t done it.
