Bachmann Ends Presidential Campaign

Michele Bachmann has ended her presidential campaign.

Bachmann held a press conference in Des Moines, Iowa Wednesday morning.

The Republican hopeful had cancelled her campaign trip to South Carolina after a dismal showing in the Iowa caucuses.

Bachmann was a distant sixth in Iowa and her campaign is low on money. After the Tuesday night vote, she told reporters that she would carry on.

dahbrogottalgo; A generic Republican candidate now holds a four-point lead over President Obama in a hypothetical Election 2012 matchup. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey for the short holiday week ending Friday, December 30, finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters would support the generic Republican candidate if the presidential election were held today, while 43% would vote for Obama. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and seven percent (7%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Lester, or should I call you Wolfgang (?), my "real point" is that Wolfgang makes conservatives look foolish with his inability to write. You may claim that "1/2" these posters can't write decently, but IMO, Wolfgang is a. far worse, b. far more ubiquitous, and c. one of the most frequent conservative posters here. Thus, he makes us look MORE foolish, in scale vs. other posters. Also, as a conservative I believe in honesty and integrity. Wolfgang passing off as his own the words of other people here is neither. Simple conservative concept, huh? Finally, why do YOU defend him so vigorously, speaking "whats the deal". I think we both know this answer. In short, he embarrasses me as a conservative.

I am unimpressed with Rasmussen. He leans hard on the scale. In Science we call it cherry picking data to make an effect or worse, we call it outright fraud. In politics this form of poll cheating is used to drive narratives to slow down the other side. Rasmussen will never cease to "cheat" the polls and data, however. He gets too much money from his ardent following to change his biased ways.

Washington AP - THE DICTATOR-IN-CHIEF BYPASSES THE SENATE…ILLEGALLY! - Here’s the summary of what Dear Leader is trying to pull now via WZ & Washington AP: In a defiant display of executive power, President Barack Obama on Wednesday will buck GOP opposition and name Richard Cordray as the nation’s chief consumer watchdog even though the Senate contends the move is inappropriate, senior administration officials told The Associated Press With a director in place, the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will be able to start overseeing the mortgage companies, payday lenders, debt collectors and other financial companies often blamed for practices that helped tank the economy. Obama’s decision to make a recess appointment is certain to cause an uproar from Capitol Hill to Wall Street. He is essentially declaring the Senate’s short off-and-on legislative sessions a sham intended to block his appointments. The White House is expecting considerable criticism and perhaps a court challenge. What are our Fearless Leaders going to do about this. What outrageous, beneath contempt from Hussein?

Your assumptions are predictable, but wrong. I am a life long member of the GOP (43 years). So, I need not get out of any "closet", and don't even like the thought of this! LOL. I post under "Anonymous" on mamny posts staing my mind over many issues. I know many people use Anonymous, so my posts are difficult to discern from others. But, this is my preference and my right. Yes, I will continue to think that Wolfgang habitual and pathetic copying and pasting puts us in a bad light and is against the spirit of this site. I have a right to this opinion and will continue to state it, thank you. Also, his psuedonyms are getting stale too. You may feel free to disagree as is your right.

Thank you-Obama!! The GOP openly admits that Cordray is qualified for the position-in fact, the Senate voted to approved his appointment by 53%! The GOP was withholding the appointment because they did not like the LAW passed by Congress which created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau!! Since they didn't like it-they didn't care that it was the Law of the Land!! How's that for upholding the Constitution? Obama had to act to protect this country from the GOP who was ignoring US LAW!! The only thing "beneath contempt" is the GOP trying to ignore our laws-but then they are the party of NIXON!!

The Bachmann family can always fall back on their $2500 a month in farm subsidy money. I thought republicans wanted to end welfare. I guess they only want to end it for the poor and needy.

Praise the Lord! No room for someone who interjects religion into politics to be a viable candidate.
