The U.S. Army Special Forces Command will hold a memorial ceremony to honor its 18 Special Forces soldiers lost in combat last year.
The 42nd annual Special Forces Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Army Special Operations Forces Plaza on Monday morning. The plaza is located at the southern end of the Special Operations Command headquarters at Fort Bragg.
Brig. Gen. Michael S. Repass will memorialize the 18 Special Forces Soldiers who were killed in action and 90 Special Forces Association members who have died during the past year.
Repass commands about 10,000 soldiers in the Army's five active-duty groups and two National Guard groups. Special Forces teams perform raids, train native armies and conduct long-range reconnaissance in search of terrorist suspects.
