Metal Legend Ronnie James Dio Dead at 67

Ronnie James Dio, the metal god who replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath and later piloted the bands Heaven & Hell and Dio, has died, according to his wife and manager.

Dio announced last fall he was suffering from stomach cancer. He was being treated at a Houston hospital, according to his website.

"My heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45 a.m," said a statement by Wendy Dio posted Sunday on the site and confirmed by publicist Maureen O'Connor.

Wendy Dio said that friends and family were able to say their goodbyes to her husband, and asked for privacy. She concluded: "Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."

sorry that you have a headache John. My head would ache also if I went around "leaning to my own understanding" all the time. I assure you're laughter from your end will end when you realize all I was really doing was trying to get you to see that we live in an evil world full of wickedness and to show you guys like this Dio are doing nothing but helping lead people away from Christ. The true meaning of life and our purpose in life can all be found in the new testament. But you'll never know the truth unless you actually take time and read it. What do you have to lose? certainly you won't find it hilarious if you're a serious person. I find many who're in denial of Gods truths and word that they resort to their own reasoning, their own understanding and shun him completely out of their lives. I promise you if you read the new testament, you will be changed for the better and if you just believe on Jesus' name and accept him into your heart, ask for forgiveness of your sins you'll live!

Jimmy, thanks so much for defining the word praise for me. In your previous posting you were obviously using the word "praise" in the context of "praising a god", saying that I "could praise this metal god", and I replied that I "do not praise anyone", meaning I do not praise anyone as a god. I am sorry that you misunderstood my meaning. It appears that your arguments are wearing thin when you have to resort to pulling out the dictionary in a lame attempt to make yourself look more intelligent. And I will now let you have the last word because it seems to be something that means so very much to you. I have enjoyed our conversation, it has been a absolutely hilarious on my end, especially the part about me being brainwashed, that was a classic, I mean talk about the pot calling the kettle black! (you can look that saying up on the Princeton site) It's with a "hardened heart" that I need to say goodbye now, because, quite frankly, you are giving me a headache. Bye Jim!

PRAISE - Noun * S: (n) praise, congratulations, kudos, extolment (an expression of approval and commendation) "he always appreciated praise for his work" * S: (n) praise (offering words of homage as an act of worship) "they sang a hymn of praise to God" Verb * S: (v) praise (express approval of) "The parents praised their children for their academic performance". This definition came from Princeton Edu. site... So John, you don't approve or compliment Ronnie James Dio? Or do you even know the true meaning of what you do? I see that you should read the bible, start with the new testament John. You'll find out quickly that society has brainwashed you into thinking you're ok, everything is going to be fine for now on and we can just live life as we want to and not truly obey God' holy word. Like I said John, I do care for your soul as well as the souls of your family. I'm not making things up, just being blunt and speaking the truth. Jesus told us the world will hate him & Christianity

James, I actually don't praise anyone, I'll leave that for you.

John, you can praise this metal "god" as the headline reads and I'll praise the one and only true living God, Jesus Christ. Opinons mean nothing John. Personal opinions hold No weight and aren't logical regarding discussions about God and the holy bible. That's why there's so many denominations, because people kept doing spinoffs wanting to change meanings of the holy scriptures to their liking or avoid certain verses and books all together. I receive ALL of Gods word and actually care about your soul John and where you'll spend eternity. I really do and sorry if you received what I've said the wrong way, I'm not perfect yet, until we're transformed like Jesus after the rapture, I'll say things out of anger but, the sole intentions and points stated are true. I've always noticed a big difference in how people from up north act towards others and how people in the south show hospitality and are more curteous. I didn't say ALL people up there. I am a lunatic for Jesus though. Take care!

Mr No-Name.....The so called "evidence" for your statement that people from the northeast United States have "hardened hearts" is based on the opinion of a few of your relatives and friends and a few visits to the northeast. How is that OVERWHELMING evidence? That would be me like me saying all southerners are bible waving lunatics, I would NOT say that because it's not true. And I certainly wouldn't base it on such a small sampling of data. You really need to clarify some of the statements you make because they are flawed and they have nothing to back them up except heresay.

Mr No-Name. Your TRUTH is simply your OPINION. It's as simple as that. As far as judging goes, I can judge all I want, I am not claiming to be the righteous bible follower. Amy was pointing out that you are judging others and if you are truely who you claim to be, you wouldn't be so eager to judge others. You mention that I got "all bent out of shape and denied God's power", that's funny because I don't remember saying that in any of my posts. All of my criticisms have been of you, not your religion. Once again you have proven yourself to be nothing but a fraud, which is not surprising for a man that is afraid to even use his first name while he attempts to shove his beliefs down someone's throat. You say I am in denial, I say you are nothing more that a frightened coward.

John, I am a follower of Jesus and no matter what you think I still tell the truth about differences in attitudes and the way people treat each other between north and south. That is no BS and you know I'm being truthful, you're just in denial and won't accept the truth. Hypocrites??? Judging??? you don't even know Michael Sweet or the other members of Stryper nether does Amy and my best friend did meet them, hang out with them and stayed at the same Hotel with them. They live a Godly lifestyle and that is the truth. Stop judging John. They're not hypocrites. Hefty generalization was correct and the evidence is overwhelming as well. You're just in denial and think you're just fine. Any time someone mentions what God says in his word you get all bent out of shape and deny his power, his word and his requirements for mankind to enter heaven. Why would you do that? Are you God and make up your own stipulations & rules like so many that will not enter heaven after they die. Read it John!

BS? You would know BS, that is for sure. The part about people in the northeast having "hardened hearts" is quite a hefty generalization and most certainly a bunch of BS. And I have to agree with AMY, you certainly do quite a bit of judging for someone who claims to be a follower of Jesus. Your comments are so absurd I am starting to think that you are just writing them as a joke to try and get some attention. By the way, Amy is correct about Stryper, nothing but a bunch of hypocrites, just like our no-named friend US citizen for now.
