The government has recalled more than 200,000 cribs by Simplicity and Graco.
Simplicity full-sized cribs with tubular metal mattress-support frames are on the list. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says those tubes can bend or break, causing the mattress to collapse.
At least one suffocation death and 13 other incidents have been reported to the CPSC.
The CPSC is not sure how many cribs are involved, but urges owners not to use or attempt to fix these cribs.
Also, more than 200,000 Graco drop-side cribs made by LaJobi have been recalled because of entrapment and suffocation hazards.
The CPSC and LaJobi have received 99 complaints about several different models. The company is offering a hardware kit to immobilize the drop-side.
