STUDY: Pregnancy Safe For Breast Cancer Survivors

Another study shows breast cancer survivors can go on to become pregnant and have healthy babies after their treatment has ended.

Doctors, concerned about possible hormonal changes that could spur the disease's return, have long counseled many patients against getting pregnant after they recover. Now, experts say pregnancy is safe and does not seem to be linked with the disease's recurrence.

The new study was presented at a European breast cancer conference in Barcelona.

A cancer expert at Breast Cancer Care in Britain says advice for patients might vary depending on the type of breast cancer they've had and how they responded to treatment.
