Ahmadinejad: Sept. 11 Attacks A Big Lie

Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks a "big lie" used by the U.S. as an excuse for the war on terror, state media reported.

Ahmadinejad's comments, made during an address to Intelligence Ministry staff, come amid escalating tensions between the West and Tehran over its disputed nuclear program. They show that Iran has no intention of toning itself down even with tighter sanctions looming because of its refusal to halt uranium enrichment.

"September 11 was a big lie and a pretext for the war on terror and a prelude to invading Afghanistan," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by state TV. He called the attacks a "complicated intelligence scenario and act."

The Iranian president has questioned the official U.S. version of the Sept. 11 attacks before, but this is the first time he ventured to label it a "big lie."

In 2007, New York officials rejected Ahmadinejad's request to visit the World Trade Center site while he was in the city for a U.N. meeting. The president also sparked an uproar when he said during a lecture in New York that the causes and conditions that led to the attacks, as well as who orchestrated them, still need to be examined.

At the time, he also told Iranian state TV the attacks were "a result of mismanaging and inhumane managing of the world by the U.S," and that Washington was using Sept. 11 as an excuse to attack others.

He has also questioned the Sept. 11 death toll of around 3,000, claiming the Americans never published the victims' names.

On the 2007 anniversary of the attacks, the names of 2,750 victims killed in New York were read aloud at a memorial ceremony.

Nathan Location: Eastern NC, that is one of my points. We see the action and story take place before our eyes. There is not doubt, yet the spin begins, its Americas fault, is what they say. This is the same America that was in Hati and SA when they had earthquakes, first. They attacked us since we are religous infidels...thats it, they hate us since the US is a christian judeo country. The information is classified, however, the congress knows about the investigation and decided it would endanger those that told us. This story is about how absolute power corrupts and the people that really don't have a problem with America. We are not as hated, as our politicans would have you believe. Ahmadinejad also denies the Holocaust happened. When our politicians think like this guy and sypathize with him, they need to go too.

Michael, Iran is and has been involved in several wars in the past including enabling & supplying terroists through out the middle eastern nations. Sure their citizens may be kind and want to leave the dictatorship of tyranny they're under and flee to the US. They want freedom and human rights as we have also opportunity to become successful here. But, the spirit of satan or jihad which is instilled within Muslims who seek power and live by the Coran are the real enemies we need to be concerned about. Are you a Christian or what? Do you represent 84% of Americans who believe in God which is Jesus' father? There's a difference in people who think they're Christians & ones who actually are. Big difference. True Christians KNOW Gods word or holy bible and LIVE their life by God Given Principles and Obey His Commandments. I've seen many followers of Islam convert to Christianity leave their country fearing execution to follow Jesus Christ, the God of Love & The Truth, The Way & The Life.

Haven't you heard never believe anything you read? 1. ahmad's english is terrible, but he does say the same things. He has an ongoing arguement about what 9/11 and the Iraq war have in common. 2. People who think they are christians. See bible-look at fruits of spirit and the Royal Laws. Can that be applied to your feelings for Obama? If the answer is NO, quit pretending to be Christians. 3. While the current Iranian admin is very corrupt, they havent started a war in 200 years. A majority 70%plus of Iranians LIKE America. Look it up.

Ahmadinejad believes the same devil that is using Obama to persuade the Amercian people to trust him and accept his evil agenda. Same devil that has blinded millions here in the US and around the world to accept his liberal ways. Satan's motto is "do as thou will" or do as you want". It's all about you and he is the great deceiver who deceives all nations and causes division and confusion among people. Ask yourself, is our president a Godly man who fears the Lord and executes righteousness? No he isn't nor are most leaders around the world. Satan has plans for humanity that are being carried out by Bilderberg members, the G20 nation leaders and the European Union which is the Revived Roman Empire. The same empire and spirit who put Jesus to death and killed millions of Christians & Jews. The same spirit who's orchestrating an alignment among superpowers and all nations to worship his anti-christ which is ready to be revealed to the world. Watch and see for these things are true.

So what you are saying is the whole 9/11 attacks are made up? It was executed by our own government to instill patriotism?
  • by The Voice on Mar 9, 2010 at 06:21 AM
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”- Hermann Goering. Just a little food for thought, Disgusted.

The Tuskegee Experiment was used to find a cure for syphilis. They used volunteers that already had the disease, they did not give the disease to anyone. Because of this they were able to find a cure for treatment. I like the spin you put on stories. What other version of 9/11 do you believe in? You think it was all set up by the Bush administration?

Solar Flare Location: Earth Bound! on Mar 7, 2010 at 08:42 PM - As I understand it, that was used to test a treatment for a disease, not to commit mass murder on a group of people who didn't follow the wants of a leader, as Iraq and Iran did to the kerds. So there is a world of different, keep that in mind.

I find Solar Flare's comment to be disgusting and offensive.
