Big Waves Kill Two Cruise Ship Passengers

A Spanish Coast Guard spokesman said the Maltese-registered "Louis Majesty" was on its way to Genoa, Italy when it ran into rough seas off the coast of Spain.

Officials in Greece and Cyprus say 26-foot waves crashed into a cruise ship with nearly 2,000 people on board, smashing glass windows and killing two passengers. The victims are identified as a German and an Italian man. Another six people suffered minor injuries.

The ship is currently heading back to Barcelona.

Now this is scarey. I have taken a cruise before and If something like this were to happen I don't think I would ever get on the water again in my life. All the movies they make about cruise ships falling over and now real life happenings. I don't think I will get on another.

cruise ships should always be on alert for rough weather, but, there is always a chance out at sea regarless how big the boat is, there are Rogue waves, they come out of no where and are very dangerous, they can range for 20 to 100' tall, my thoughts and prayers are with the victims families, as for me I dont intend to cruise any time soon, love the beach and water but no cruise, good luck and be safe
