Pelosi: Democrats Will Retain Majority In House

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says Democrats will retain a majority in the House after this year's midterm elections.

She acknowledges there have been swings in power over the last couple of elections, but tells CNN in an interview for broadcast Sunday on "State of the Union" that Democrats are prepared for elections and will be fighting for every seat.

The California Democrat says swings in party control of the House have happened when the party in power wasn't ready for elections. She says Democrats have been working hard in Congress but must communicate to voters what they've done.

Democrats hold an advantage of almost 80 seats over Republicans in the House.

But 49 Democrats are in districts that Republican presidential candidate John McCain won in 2008.

Thanks for the welcome folks. George Soros Obama's money $$$$$ backer for most of his life wants Obama a Soros puppet to Marxist all American Banks? Obama's Bank Bailouts Were Big Mistake Billionaire investor and Soros Fund manager George Soros says President Obama mishandled the financial crisis big time. Soros would have preferred that the government take over U.S. banks instead of bailing them out, a move he believes would have been more popular with Americans, The Wall Street Journal reports. "The solution that he found to the financial crisis, which was to effectively bail out the banks and allow them to earn their way out of the hole, was, in my opinion, not the right solution," Soros said in an interview with CNN. Obama & Soros alreadsy got Gov't Motors. Watch out American Banks here comes George & Barack to control pricing. Without business competion George & Barack can charge you want they want

Data Man, Obama doesn't love god, he loves power. Soros gave him that power, not the American People. If you doubt that, look at what Obama took in pledges compared to McCain. It wasn't because he was more popular, he was put there by Soros.

still trying to figure out what this great, admirable, revolutionary president obama has done for this country. and by the way data man, all politicians will do and say anything to get into office. republicans and democrats alike are unclean in this way! its all about who has the most money, not about whose going to do the best for this country. theyre all buddies, they dont care about any movements happening in the US, they just use them to further their political and financial gain. wake up! i mean, pelosi doesnt even know the results of an election, and shes stating the results like she knows the future. FRIGHTENING! DEMOCRATS CAN BE SOOO SCARY!

Well Dta Man when Bush was in office I lived in the United States of America, we dont seem too united anymore do we? I already know you will say it is all because of his skin color, your wrong. As I said if Obama loved GOD, he would not be for abortion, gay marriages and gays in the military. He is not my leader, I respect the position but dont have to respect the man. Once again, how is he helping me? His proposed pay raise for the military next year is 1.5%, less than inflation, how is that helping me? National security is a joke, how is that helping me or anyone else? He has bowed down to world leaders that want to do us harm, how is that helping me or anyone else? He has hired corrupt czars using taxpayers money, how is that helping me or anyone else? He has quadrupeled the deficit in one year, how has that helped me or anyone else? For right now I have job security but will have to retire someday. How has his 10% unemployment helped anyone else? Please enlighten me.
