There's a nationwide effort underway to help the injured and disabled in Haiti, now a business in Greenville is getting involved.

Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics is holding a special drive to collect donations for Haiti. Since items like prosthetics can't be reused in the United States because of FDA rules, Hanger employees hope you'll drop them off at their office on Executive Park Circle. The donations will then be sent to Haiti to help amputees live fully productive lives

Items being collected: prosthetics, crutches, canes, and walkers

Drop Off:
2301-C Executive Park Circle
Greenville, NC
252-752-2324

When: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

    1. used prosthetics can not be reused in this country. it is prohibited by the FDA. why not put them to good use? 2. Anonymous - please tell us what YOU are doing to help disabled veterans so we can participate and help 3. Country boy, if one places limits on their charity, then is the act really charity or for self gratification? 4. Clifton, do you really have all the facts about the missionaries who were detained there to make a judgement one way or another?

I agree to both sides of this argument. The bottom line is, nobody helped us with hurricane Katrina or the twin towers. Our economy is so screwed up now that instead of helping every other country in the world, we need to be thinking of ways to save our country.. Half of the other countries in the world hate the USA anyway. Its all politics anyway. I am all about helping the needy but enough is enough..

Clifton- that same thing would happen here in the US if a bus full of kids was pulled over at one of our borders. Haiti deserves just as much support and the veterans that anonymous mentioned. Anonymous- you can help start a fundraiser like this one as well! I agree with you that veterans need and deserve this service as well. Consider getting active and starting this up. It only takes 1 person to come forward.

Why give anything to Haiti when they imprison people that went there to help them???

That is nice, but what about all the injured and disabled veterans here at home that cannot afford them?
