Biden: Iraq War Not Worth Its "Horrible Price"

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden says the Iraq war hasn't been worth its "horrible price."

He says the war was mishandled from the outset and that the U.S. took its eye off the ball. As a result, he says the U.S. was left in a more dangerous position in Afghanistan, where al-Qaida hatched the Sept 11 attacks.

Biden tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that the war also has cost the United States support from other nations.

Still, Biden predicts Iraq will have successful parliamentary elections next month and he says the U.S. is likely to bring home some 90,000 combat troops by the end of the summer.

More than 4,370 U.S. military personnel have died in Iraq since former President George W. Bush ordered the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 to overthrow Saddam Hussein. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been wounded or killed.

Obama Snake Oil Lover on Feb 15, 2010 at 09:22 AM, republican? Hmmmm, last I heard, this was the trademark of the Progressives that are driving all the democrats to resign, even a Kennedy! I know, don't cry, Obama had so much going for him, hope and change....sad he went along with the progressives. Now, its just hopey changey stuff, nothing else. Sort of like that cable commercial and the pigeon, you though you had a friend....only to find a terd in the dish...I know you are frustrated with you mistake but everyone makes one in their life. OK, you fell for the hype, now go, go to where you people go, we all know where that is, but since you are probably atheist...you go to atheist heaven...really hot there...but the donuts are good......OSOC

It figures a ruthless idiotic comment would come from him and this administration. Get it, they're all about the money and playing the blame game. Putting a price on freedom & humanity. That's what this is. He's despicable and should be impeached along with Obonga. If we didn't go into Iraq, there's no telling how many terrorist camps and successful missions that could have been carried out against our nation. The price of this war doesn't come close to how much Obonga has gotten us in debt these next three yrs.. Biden is slapping the face of every family member involved in 9/11 terrorist attack including the rest of the US citizens for now. What a low life dirty coward. Heckle & Jeckle in the white house. Never place a price on peace, stability & the freedoms we have. They'd rather spend that money on themselves.

Regarding the decision to drop the bombs during WWII; using common sense here; to me it makes more sense to kill a few hundred thousand Japanese than to kill more than a million Japanese and Americans combined(must have made sense to ALOT of Americans because they thought the same thing, that's why they were used). And the videos showing Japanese people jumping from the cliffs on Guam are not made up videos; it happened; just ask one of the many soldiers who was their when it happened. And after looking in to it further, when asked the question about the decision to use the nuclear bombs, our cowardly leader did not have the guts to give a precise answer. Still waiting for JUST ONE THING he's done that has had a positive affect on America. (Toned down version moderator)

To Obama Snake Oil Lover, if you're gay AND a republican AND you love Obama Snake Oil Lover, I'm sorry but you make some bad choices. If people like the Republicans or Obama Snake Oil had their way, us "gays" would be in concentration camps. According to the one you love on here, we "gays" are the wrong ones that made a choice to be gay. Did you make a choice to be gay? Did you suddenly one day decide, hey I want to be the source of people's talk, I want to be humiliated and seen as less of a human? No, I'm sure you did not. You're no different than any other gay person. But cmon now, to "love" what snake oil has to say? You do the rest of us gay people a serious injustice by liking the very mindset that would set out to destroy people like you and me. Maybe you like his backwards racist stubborn eastern NC attitude about some things, but the gay thing is who you are. Like it or not. Don't be a Larry Craig or Mark Foley and hide behind it.

Uh, Marine Mom, I'm just curious, who's been nice? How has the US been nice to Iraq or Afghanistan? What's your answer to not being nice? Dropping another bomb like we did in Hiroshima? Oh it would solve the problem I'm sure and add new ones like we've never seen. Of course war isnt nice, but in Iraq, we got what we were after, now it's time to go.

OK, I'll start it off. 1)Giving terrorists the same rights as American citizens. 2)Spending more money than bush and others before him combined. 3)Choosing a communist & a bunch of socialist radicals to help him change the country. 4)Creating obamacare behind closed doors("we'll put it on C-Span"). 5) Special treatment for unions. 6)Wanting to prosecute bush and others for so-called torture of terrorists. 7) Revealing and flaunting information given to them by the underwear bomber in order to justify & defend their stupid decision(real intelligent move there). Oh, that's 7. Got carried away having to much fun. That's ok, there's plenty more facts to choose from. Ok obamaites, speakup.

If the government would allow our military to take care of the problem in both Iraq and Afganistan by fighting and killing the enemy, the whole thing would be over. instaed we have to be NICE!!! war is not nice, innocent people get killed thats why it is called war!!!!

Being an openly gay Republican and proud of it...I think, in the words of an influential american (Rodney King) "Can't we all just get along!"
