Obama: Security Team To Keep Pressure On Enemies

President Barack Obama says he has ordered a review of the nation's watchlist system and of its air safety regulations, and has asked his national security team to keep up the pressure on terrorists aiming to attack the U.S.

Obama says U.S. officials are doing everything in their power to ensure Americans are safe in the wake of the Christmas Day attack on a Northwest Airlines flight bound for Detroit.

The president, issuing a statement Monday during his holiday vacation in Honolulu, says U.S. authorities will not rest until they find everyone involved in the attack in Detroit and hold them accountable.

Obama's remarks were his first in public about a Nigerian man's alleged attempt to bring down the airliner.

Just posted in headline news. The U.S. government had intelligence from Yemen before Christmas that leaders of a branch of Al Qaeda there were talking about "a Nigerian" being prepared for a terrorist attack, the New York Times reported Tuesday. Way to go Obama and all of who he placed in offices regarding national security.

We do not attack muslims on their holy day, however, they will attack on ours. We have had one attack and two more attempts. Mr president, I think you should access your policy, not the TSA, what are you doing wrong? Bowing to Saudis, talking with Americas enemies, softening our image? Hmmm, think about it, its only a matter of time. This president is even weaker than Jimmy Carter, well, he does share his poll numbers.

Obama may want to handle this situation in a decisive but progressive manner. hmm, He may just have dinner with the terrorist attacker and his father in the white house. They can get to the bottom of this and settle the matter in a hmm, peacefully and decisively survey the criteria involving the misconceptions related to the aggravating factors. After dinner they will schedule a press conference and express their gratitude by a humble bow and acknowledge their accomplishments of their goal. daaaaaaaaa

Anon @ 0637: Before it gets that far, blood will likely be shed. The constitution gives every American the LEGAL RIGHT to protect our country from such threats. What the politicians do not realize is that individuals in the military and law enforcement are seeing the same thing the rest of us see(they're fighting for a freedom that obama and the left want to take away); and saying the same thing many of us are saying. There is a line in the sand that has not been reached yet by the obama administration, or any other administation, but they are getting closer everyday. It will start small but will rapidly grow to...... History repeats itself; our so-called intelligent leaders have yet to figure that out. Just remember bleeding hearts; YOU chose to turn your guns into plows.

I think Napolitano needs to step down and let someone qualified be in charge of homeland security.
