Maryland Couple Marries Despite Snowy Conditions

SILVER SPRING, Md. -- The groom says he won't forget his anniversary in the coming years -- it'll be the same date as the big Nor'easter of 2009.

Tony McCormack says he and his new wife, Emily, weren't about to let a storm that's dropped more than a foot of snow in the Washington, D.C. area ruin their wedding day.

Instead of a limousine, they were driven to the church in Silver Spring, Md. today in a four-wheel-drive station wagon.

The band couldn't make it for the reception, so their friends sang Frank Sinatra's "Time After Time" for the couple's first dance as husband and wife.

There were fewer people than expected, but the McCormacks say they're grateful to those who could share in their special snowy wedding day.
