Machine-Gun Shooting At Baltimore Hotel Injures 3

BALTIMORE -- Machine gunfire broke out during a birthday party at a Baltimore hotel and three people were critically injured.

Police say the shooter is still at large.

Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says officers were called to the Sheraton hotel around 3:15 a.m. Sunday after a fight broke out and someone began shooting.

Police found the Uzi sub-machine gun in a room where the party was held.

Guglielmi says two people were taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center's Shock Trauma Center.

One of them had been shot in the head, the other was shot in the torso.

The hospital's nursing coordinator says they are in critical condition.

Guglielmi did not know which hospital had the third person, who he said had "facial lacerations."

@ Neal Shlonson what did "rap music" have to do with this shooting? Was it "rap music" that made those two white boys shoot up and kill all those students and staff at Columbine High School? You can't blame "rap music"! There are cartoons where children are taught to kill and not think twice about it. Did you include that? You need to get a life. I take it that you were at that party and you know exactly what happened. I listen to "rap music" and it has no effect on me nor does it make me go out and shoot people. I bet you never posted a comment like that on a story where white people shoot and kill their own family! Was "rap music" involved in those shootings? Since I listen to "rap music" I guess I'm going to go out and shoot people. I think not! Should you be tagged and investigated when you listen or buy your music? I have never shot anyone in my life due to "rap music". Just because you don't understand "rap music" it doesn't mean that those who do are wrong. You need help!

This is precisely why rap "music" needs to be actively eliminated from this country, or at the very least, the purchasers of this trash be tagged and investigated.

So,now the upscale hotels in America will have to 'scan' patrons coming into the hotel, to check for weapons? Wow, you'd think you'd be safe in a Hilton Hotel. Almost sounds like one of the hotels hit recently, over-seas, in the middle east. Not good...
