NEW ORLEANS -- Louisiana State Police say four children ranging in age from 2 to 14 are among five people killed when a minivan packed with kids rolled on an interstate.
State police said Sunday that seven children remained in critical condition.
Another two with moderate injuries are considered stable.
The front-seat passenger, 28-year-old Stacey Hines, was in stable condition.
Police identified the children killed as 2-year-old Ricky Hines Jr.; 12-year-old Lachante Floyd; 14-year-old Edward Barnes; and 14-year-old Ashley Hines.
Also killed was the van's 38-year-old driver, Mona Hines.
Police say the GMC Safari minivan apparently blew a tire Saturday morning on Interstate 10 near Baton Rouge.
All 13 children were thrown from the vehicle.
None were wearing seat belts.
