NASA "Shoots The Moon"

NASA has successfully bulldozed two spacecraft into the moon's south pole in a search for hidden ice, but without the promised live photos.

First a 2.2-ton empty rocket hull smacked the moon's south pole at 7:31 a.m. EDT Friday. Then four minutes later the camera-and-instrument laden space probe made its death plunge.

The smaller probe had five cameras and four other scientific instruments and NASA had touted live photos on its web site. But those images didn't occur. NASA officials say they are sure the two probes crashed and looking to see what happened to the pictures. Pictures were live until seconds before impact.

The intentional crashes had been expected to kick up miles of lunar dust. The space probe is called LCROSS, short for Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite.

Its clear what happened to the pictures. Aliens inhabiting the moon saw the attcking space craft and shot them out of the sky.

Chuck I agree with you. All the money they put in to this is crazy "with as bad as times are right now" there are many familys that cant feed there familys but we can try to blow up the MOON? whatthe ****

People of little minds, most of the stuff we take for granted now came from the space race. Now all that happens is making what we have better. We as a nation, or world for you liberal thinkers, are stagnant in technology. Come on, solar power has been around for at least 30 years. And wind, since the dutch used it to crack the wheat in Europe. Now every one has a cell phone, hell they are taking them away from kids in school who have them. Even cars are redundant, all they really do is drive you from point A to B.

AshleyNevada, when mixing Al Gores mix of snake oil, use one part to 10. I mean, when you add this to koolaid it can be quite potent. Listen to me or listen to NOAA, we are experiencing "global cooling". This has been happening for 7 years now and is highlighted by this past years, "coldest year in NC". This is not theory, rhetoric, think it is, it is hard "cold" facts. Also, did you know that math allows you to determine "how to simulate" an impact on the moon? Now, stop drinking the koolaid or you will be fully assimulated by Al Gore and his money making scheme.

This is bad...As 'The people' we really need to take control of what is being allowed to happen to our environment. FYI - The ice caps are really melting the water levels are increasing and now we are screwing with the moon (that controls the tides). Bad idea! Why are we allowing all of these things to happen around us and not doing anything about it?

Wise one, with Obama running this country, this is already happening.

Bring the troops back then let NASA find water in Afghanistan

did they forget who made the moon as well as stars light and dark they are messing with something very (someone) very powerful and most of us knows who made it read the good book(bible)
