Identical Triplets Born

Three babies born in western Pennsylvania are one in a million, literally!

Matthew and Amanda Faher welcomed their identical triplet boys, Matthew, Nathan and Michael, into the world at a Pittsburgh hospital Tuesday, which just happens to be their third wedding anniversary.

Doctors say having identical triplets is extremely rare and put the odds at about one in a million.

Mom and all three babies are said to be doing well and in good health.

Identical triplets are born one in 150,000 births and are never the result of fertility treatment. Identical girl triplets are less rare that identical boys. I am the grandmother of 11 yr old identical triplet girls who were born in a neighborhood that had 5 sets of identical triplets born in a 5 yr span.

To Alpha Mom...who cares, you know how many males, who just have to pee, go into the bathroom and always find the toilet seat down? It works both ways! Besides who are you to judge all males? Not all males leave the toilet seat up! I don't.

That poor mom is always going to find the lid up. Four males in the home... WOW. How will you feed them when they get to be teenagers? I hope the parents enjoy their babies, and are well prepared for them. Let's pray the mom isn't breast feeding because she is missing one!

I would jump off the shortest bridge I could find and swim far far away. No, seriously. Congratulations to them! I'm sure the babies will have a very fruitful, healthy, fun life.
