Laboring on Labor Day For The President

President Barack Obama is working on Labor Day, speaking to union members in Ohio.

He'll leave the White House Monday morning for the trip to Cincinnati. In the afternoon, he addresses the annual AFL-CIO Labor Day picnic, as union members celebrate the holiday named for their movement.

Making the trip with Obama is Ron Bloom, who will be introduced as the president's new senior counselor for manufacturing policy.

Obama's Labor Day trip will be brief.

He'll be back at the White House in time for dinner.

Strange the other presidents were not pushing bills that will increase our electric rate by several thousand dollars a year because of polution, then doing everything possible to show that he does not care how much polution he produces. This country is in bad times and he should be setting an example by cutting back in what the government spends, starting at the top. He says one thing and does another. But then again I would guess you support paying several thousand more a year in energy taxes, glad you can afford it.

LAVoN, you & I finally agree on something. GEEZ, give the guy a break. If he was laid back on vacation today he'd get grilled for that. He really is in a no win. Now the former NC gov & his wife are another story...

Anonymous- Have you looked back and researched how other Presidents traveled and spent your tax dollars also and polluted the air? If you did I think you would keep your mouth closed on this subject..

Has anyone looked into how much all this back and forth campaign traveling is costing the tax payers, and how much pollution he as a single person is causing by all this travel? It must be really nice to have the tax payers pay for your travel and sight seeing, when most have not been able to afford a vacation in many years.
