Man Says His Cat Downloaded Child Pornography

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Florida investigators say a man accused of downloading child pornography is blaming his cat. Keith Griffin of Jensen Beach is charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography after detectives found more than 1,000 images on his home computer.

According to a sheriff's report Friday, Griffin told investigators that his cat jumped on the computer keyboard while he was downloading music. He said he had left the room and found "strange things" on his computer when he returned.

Griffin is being held on $250,000 bond in the Martin County jail. It is unclear if he has an attorney.

I think that we as an Uber-Liberal society should be more understanding towards the plight of this poor cat who has obviously chosen to backlash upon the hand that feeds him due to the stresses placed on him by society. I think we should do like we always do and try to rehabilitate this poor poor cat, even if it means that we have to spend millions of dollars to do it. I mean after all it is our fault that this cat is this way right? So we are the ones that caused it so we should be the ones to fix it and pay for it. Man, I don't even think liberals will buy that load of crap!! But sadly enough if we give them enough tme I'm sure they will probably try something like that. Probably will try to start up the Obamacare Veterinarian Service for downtrodden animals, because no kitty should go without pitty.

As to how he was caught, same way music pirates are. The idea originated with illicit pornography, actually. The FBI downloads it, indexes it by category (use your imagination), and shares it on the same peer-to-peer network(s) they got it from, and they trace anybody who downloads it. Where do you think RIAA got the idea? Anyway, as a computer geek and net nerd, I can tell you this kind of thing is not like illicit mp3s or movie downloads. It is not out in the open. You would really have to dig to find it. You can get a pirated copy of Windows Vista or Xbox 360 games easier than this - by a long shot. There is no way a cat running across the keyboard would have entered the proper information for his computer to track down and download that stuff. Anyway, aside from being sick, the guy is an idiot. There is nothing worse, possibly even including terrorist plans, that you can possibly have on your computer.

This sounds a bit fishy to me. I can't help but wonder why he was arrested in the first place. Did HE do something other than download porn? Was he being watched? Did someone entice him to d/l porn? Was he just someone caught by those annoying pop ups that terrorize computer? Did he go to a legit site to d/l songs and found out the hard way the site was corrupt? Or was BIG BROTHER watching him and caught him in the act? There is more to this story than meets the eye.

Chris, come on, I once had my puppy when a kid that did just that! I brought it to school to prove it was done. The teacher laughed and told me this was a first.....
