SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- An upstate New york man is being held without bail after being charged with setting a woman on fire during an argument.
Kevin Boone was arraigned Friday in Schenectady on an assault charge.
The 38-year-old is accused of splashing lighter fluid on a woman and setting her ablaze Wednesday.
The woman suffered burns on her back, shoulder and face.
Doris Boone says her husband is a recent parolee but not a violent man.
She says he believed his life was in danger during the incident.
Detectives have been trying to determine what caused the dispute.
