10,000 American Troops Pulled Out Of Afghanistan

U.S. military officials say that President Barack Obama's order to withdraw 10,000 American troops from Afghanistan this year has been accomplished, a little more than a week before the year-end deadline.

The drawdown is the first step in the U.S. military's plan to wind down the war, transition security to Afghan forces and end the combat role for international troops by the end of 2014.

It also gives the Obama administration a second war-related accomplishment to tout this month - coming just a week after U.S. officials marked the end of the war in Iraq and the last convoy of American soldiers rumbled out of that country into Kuwait.

Officials say there are now 91,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan - down from the peak of 101,000 in June.

So what part of 91,000 troops still deployed to an area reflects a war being over? Am i overlooking something?

Didn't see you lining up to go to Afghanistan to fight. Send some of your family members there. I want mine at home in the United States. Don't you feel enough American Servicemen/women lives have been lost already. Or do you want more bloodshed?

You make it sound like Obama came up with this date. It was in Bush's original plans to be out in this same time frame. Do people need to keep notes to remember the important stuff when they're reporting? Seriously.

If Obama had not did this, you would still complain. Your opinions, not facts, are baseless.

Sadly, for the ignorant, uneducated ones, we have to keep notes for them. It's obvious they don't know what they're talking about when they make stupid comments about government policies. They're just speaking from the hate that runs their pathetic lives.
