Many people in the East braved the windy and chilly conditions Saturday in Morehead City to honor our country's veterans.
Thousands packed downtown for the annual Morehead City Veterans Day parade. There were bands, first responders, and many other organizations that participated.
One boy scout we spoke with says he thinks it's important that all service men and women know they have support and people are thankful for what they do.
Tyler Fletcher said, "They work hard to keep our country safe and both my Grandpa's served and I think it's very important no matter what war you fought in this is the best country in the world."
Veterans Day is November 11th.
