A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday for a Marine from Camp Lejeune killed in Afghanistan two weeks ago.

The remembrance for Lance Cpl. Abraham Tarwoe will begin at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Providence, Rhode Island.

Tarwoe's body will then be flown on May 5 to his native Liberia, where a funeral and burial are planned.

The 25-year-old Tarwoe died on April 12 from wounds he suffered during combat operations in Afghanistan's Helmand province. The military hasn't released details of the circumstances of his death.
