A local marine is now a married man, and he and his beautiful bride have an outpouring of community support to thank for the lovely, free wedding.
Sgt. Dustin McDaniel and his wife Michelle, of Jacksonville, married Sunday on Veterans Day at Tryon Palace in New Bern. The wedding came to be through a project called "Operation Marry Me Military," started last year in Brunswick County.
Wedding vendors in Craven County donated everything for the blissful event, totaling $13,000.
