Man Accused Of Killing Uncle Arrested In Onslow County

Authorities say a 21-year-old man killed his uncle at his Fayetteville home. The man was then arrested in Onslow County.

Investigators said 40-year-old Robert Blizzard was found dead after someone asked police to check on him Friday.

Police say Blizzard's nephew Charles Crampton was arrested early Saturday morning driving his uncle's Chevrolet Corvette in Onslow County. Authorities have not said how Blizzard died, but did say the weapon used to kill him was found with Crampton when he was taken into custody.

Crampton is charged with of theft of a motor vehicle, and investigators have also issued a murder warrant against him in Cumberland County. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney.

Authorities say Blizzard was a retired Fort Bragg soldier.
