As deadly violence at U.S. embassies erupted in the middle east, marines jumped into action. At Camp Lejeune Friday the secretary of the Navy talked to us about the dozens of marines sent to help protect the embassies. He was at the marine corps base to honor the 2nd Marine Expeditionary brigade with the presidential unit citation. That is the nation's highest award given to any military unit.

A team of 50 marines were sent to Libya earlier this week in the wake of the attack in Benghazi. A second team of marines was sent to Yemen to deal with aftermath of the embassy attacks.

"There's never an excuse for this type of violence, and the United States will always make sure that people who do this to our citizens are brought to justice," said Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus.
